Turning Point aims to boost presence in MAGA media

Driving the news: TPUSA Frontlines reports — notably its recent coverage of recent demonstrations outside an immigration facility in Portland, Ore. — are popping up across social media and on MAGA-friendly platforms. The reports typically cast a critical eye on events organized by left-leaning groups.

• TPUSA says its Portland coverage received about 8.2 million social media impressions through Oct. 27. Frontlines' next most popular story — coverage of the "Dyke March" for LGBTQ rights in New York City over the summer — garnered 4.4 million impressions.
• Frontlines' social media presence remains relatively modest, but has ballooned by nearly 30,000 followers between Kirk's death on Sept. 10 to Oct. 27, to nearly 80,000, the group says.

Frontlines has five full-time reporters and several contractors. Its videos has been featured on cable outlets such as Fox News and Newsmax, where Frontlines reporters have commented on their experiences on the ground.

• "The Charlie Kirk Show," Kirk's still-running podcast, plans to host weekly segments with Frontlines journalists, said Andrew Kolvet, the show's executive producer who's filling in as guest host.

• The podcast has consistently ranked near the top of Apple Podcast and Spotify charts for news podcasts since Kirk's death and has showcased Frontlines' work.

Zoom out: Several Frontlines staffers were featured at a recent White House roundtable on antifa, getting face time with President Trump and Cabinet members on an issue the administration has cited in trying to justify sending National Guard troops to several cities.

What's next: Frontlines is eyeing embedding with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents for raids and traveling to Europe to cover migration for some of its future projects, said Jack Posobiec, a right-wing podcaster and TPUSA ally who used to be a part of the Frontlines team.
