What we're watching: A new installment in the "It" franchise, a thriller from the director of "The Hurt Locker" and a new season of "Mayor of Kingstown."
"It: Welcome To Derry" available Sunday on HBO Max
State of play: Bill Skarsgård will return as Pennywise the Clown in this new series set in the universe of 2017's "It" and the sequel, "It Chapter Two."
Behind the scenes: Andy Muschietti, director of the two films, will also direct episodes of this series.
"A House of Dynamite" available Friday on Netflix
State of play: Kathryn Bigelow ("The Hurt Locker") directs this film that follows the response to an unidentified missile that is launched at the U.S.
The intrigue: The star-studded cast includes Idris Elba, Rebecca Ferguson, Anthony Ramos, Greta Lee and Jason Clarke.
"Mayor of Kingstown" season 4 available Sunday on Paramount+
Driving the news: "The Sopranos" star Edie Falco is introduced as a new adversary to Mike McLusky (played by Jeremy Renner).
Zoom in: Control over Kingstown is threatened as a power struggle ensues and McLusky is forced to confront the resulting gang war.
