Pepsi boosts its stake in energy drink maker Celsius

Driving the news: Today's deal also includes Celsius buying PepsiCo's Rockstar Energy brand in the U.S. and Canada, while PepsiCo will distribute the Alani Nu brand recently acquired by Celsius.

Catch up quick: In 2022, PepsiCo invested $550 million into Celsius for an 8.5% position. It also paid $3.85 billion to buy Rockstar in 2020, while Celsius paid $1.85 billion for Alani Nu.

• Celsius shares are up around 120% this year, while PepsiCo's are down 2%.
