Cybersecurity "unicorn" Netskope files for IPO

Cloud security provider Netskope on Friday filed for an IPO, joining a growing number of tech companies planning to go public after Labor Day.

The big picture: Netskope is losing money, but that's been true of most 2025 tech offerings (minus Figma). What they've also had in common are climbing revenues.

Netskope reports a $169.5 million net loss on $328.5 million in revenue for the first half of 2025, compared to a $207 million net loss on $251 million in revenue for the first half of 2024.

Zoom out: Netskope rival Rubrik was one of the few big tech IPOs of 2024, and since has seen its stock price climb by around 175%.

By the numbers: Netskope has raised around $1.4 billion in venture capital funding, most recently in 2021 at a $7.5 billion valuation.

It still has $261 million of cash on hand, through July 31.
Major shareholders include Lightspeed Venture Partners, Iconiq and Accel.
