Harris to release her presidential campaign memoir

Kamala Harris is set to release her book on Sept. 23, detailing her historic presidential run, she announced on her social media.

Why it matters: The book titled "107 Days" looks back on the shortest presidential campaign in modern history, which Harris said was "intense" and "deeply personal."

What she's saying: Harris said in a video that there's value in sharing what she saw and what she knows it will take to move forward.

"In writing this book, one truth kept coming back to me: sometimes, the fight takes a while. But I remain full of hope," she said.
"I will never stop fighting to make our country reflect the very best of its ideals."

Driving the news: The former vice president on Wednesday said on her social media that she will not run for California governor.

"For now, my leadership — and public service — will not be in elected office," the statement continues.
