The WNBA season begins this week and the Indiana Fever and Dallas Wings are boosting ticket sales and interest league-wide.

Why it matters: The average ticket price across the WNBA has seen a 49% increase year over year.

Driving the news: The Caitlin Clark-led Fever has four of the five most in-demand games, according to Vivid Seats.

Yes, but: The Dallas Wings, featuring rookie Paige Bueckers, are ranked the most in-demand team by Vivid Seats with the average price of tickets for home games reaching $321 (up 74% since last year).

Fun fact: The Las Vegas Aces have the farthest-traveling fans in the league, averaging 578 miles.

Fans across the league are traveling 12% farther to attend games this season, with the average reaching 346 miles.

Based on the average ticket price sold (as of May 9), here are the league's most in-demand matchups:

1. WNBA All-Star Game: $533

2. Indiana Fever at Golden State Valkyries: $519

3. Indiana Fever at Dallas Wings: $514

4. Indiana Fever at Washington Mystics: $461

5. Indiana Fever at Connecticut Sun: $446
