Here's what's new on Netflix, Peacock, Hulu, Paramount+, Prime Video, Apple TV+ and Max.
What we're watching: A comedy based on a real restaurant staffed by grandmas, a new season of "Poker Face," and a series that reimagines one of Judy Blume's most notable novels.
"Nonnas" available Friday on Netflix
State of play: Vince Vaughn, Susan Sarandon and Lorraine Bracco star in this heartwarming comedy based on the true story of a New York City man who opened an Italian restaurant and hired grandmothers as chefs.
What they're saying: "[The entire cast] brought a piece of themselves, their families, their heritage. They talked way more about their families and their moms and their food than about any Oscar that they won or any great movie that they had done," director Stephen Chbosky tells Axios.
"Poker Face" season 2 available now on Peacock
Zoom in: This weekly mystery series returns with a star-studded group of guest stars including Awkwafina, Cynthia Erivo, David Alan Grier, Giancarlo Esposito, John Mulaney, Katie Holmes, Rhea Perlman and Sam Richardson.
"Forever" available now on Netflix
The intrigue: This modern take on Judy Blume's 1975 novel follows two Black teens in 2018 Los Angeles who go through the motions of being each other's first love.
Flashback: Blume's novel about a teen couple losing their virginity to each other was considered controversial by late 20th-century standards and is currently under a public school ban in Utah.
