Vin Diesel, Billy Crystal, Kermit the Frog and the Kool-Aid man are among the stars of the Super Bowl LIX commercials available to be watched early.
The big picture: "When [brands] are spending this much money, they want to find other ways to get more bang for their buck and you have some opportunities to get attention earlier," Laura Petruccelli, co-founder of the creative agency nice&frank, tells Axios.
By the numbers: The cost of an ad is $7 million–$8 million this year.
What they're saying: Petruccelli says today's Super Bowl spot is all about entertainment and levity.
- "Flipping things on its head and surprising people is the secret sauce to getting people to really sit up during the Super Bowl."
- Her team produced a commercial this year for Häagen-Dazs.
