Between the lines: Hims has been a key player in the compounding of weight-loss drugs known as GLP-1s amid a battle with pharmaceutical companies.

• Both Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly's drugs have been in short supply, which has allowed compounders more leeway to make copycats. The FDA confirmed late last year that Eli Lilly's drugs were off shortage.

What they're saying: "At Hims & Hers, we stand with leaders and advocates who are committed to improving America's broken healthcare system," a spokesperson said in a statement.

"For far too long, this system has forced Americans to struggle — financially and with limited access — to get essential medications and the care they need, especially for stigmatized conditions."
