Here's what's new on Netflix, Peacock, Paramount+ and Max.
What we're watching: The "Selling" reality series takes Manhattan, a new series based on true tragic events and a new movie in the iconic "Wallace and Gromit" film franchise.
"Selling the City" available Friday on Netflix
The intrigue: This new addition to the "Selling" franchise follows a group of real estate agents at the Douglas Elliman brokerage led by Eleonora Srugo.
Driving the news: Netflix's other Big Apple-based real estate series, "Owning Manhattan," was renewed for a second season.
"Lockerbie: A Search for Truth" available now on Peacock
Zoom in: This series starring Colin Firth and Catherine McCormack is inspired by the 1988 Lockerbie bombing, where 270 people were killed when Pan Am Flight 103 exploded over Lockerbie, Scotland, 38 minutes after take-off from London.
State of play: In the wake of the disaster and his daughter's death, Jim Swire (played by Firth) becomes a spokesperson for U.K. victims' families.
"Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl" available Friday on Netflix
Behind the scenes: Actor Ben Whitehead, who voiced Wallace, recorded 22.5 hours of takes for the character's dialogue.
By the numbers: In total, 432 lines of dialogue were recorded to create the film and directors took 216 hours to select the final versions.
- On average, that's 30 minutes to select each line of dialogue from the actors.
"The Front Room" on Max
- Singer and actress Brandy Norwood stars in this film from A24 about a pregnant woman who is tormented after her mother-in-law (played by Kathryn Hunter) moves in. Available Friday
"Avicii: I'm Tim" on Netflix
- Through home movies and his private archive, Tim Bergling, the late Grammy-nominated DJ, narrates his life story in this new documentary. Available now
- Worthy of your time: Netflix will also premiere the final show Avicii performed before his death in 2018. Available now
"Isadora Moon" on Max
- This animated children's series is based on Harriet Muncaster's book series about the adventures of a half-vampire, half-fairy girl. Available now
"Slingshot" on Paramount+ on Showtime
- Casey Affleck and Laurence Fishburne star in this sci-fi thriller about an astronaut who starts to spiral on a years-long mission to Saturn's moon Titan. Available now
"Michelle Buteau: A Buteau-ful Mind" on Netflix
- Michelle Buteau headlines her second Netflix comedy special, and the first by a woman at Radio City Music Hall. Available now
"Murder Company" on Paramount+ on Showtime
- Kelsey Grammer stars in this World War II drama about a group of displaced U.S. soldiers who are assigned to assassinate a Nazi target with help from a member of the French resistance. Available now
"Don't Die: The Man Who Wants to Live Forever" on Netflix
- "Tiger King" director Chris Smith captures this documentary following tech billionaire Bryan Johnson's crusade to extend his life. Available now
