Christmas Eve 2024 grocery store hours
Store hours can vary but here are when the nation's largest grocery store chains are open Tuesday. Click on the store name for links to store websites.
- Acme Market: All stores close at 6pm on Tuesday. Most stores are open 8am to 2pm on Christmas Day.
- Albertsons: Hours vary by location on Tuesday. Many stores also closed Christmas but those open have adjusted hours.
- Aldi: Stores close at 4pm.
- BJ's Wholesale Club: 8am to 6pm.
- Costco: Clubs open 9am to 5pm Christmas Eve.
- Food Lion: All stores close at 6pm.
- Fresh Market: 7am to 7pm.
- Giant Eagle: Close at 5pm.
- Giant Food: Open until 6pm Christmas Eve.
- Grocery Outlet: Varies.
- Harris Teeter: Stores close at 7pm.
- H-E-B: Close at 8pm.
- Hy-Vee: Hours vary by store location, but most close at 5 pm.
- Ingles: Stores close at 7pm Christmas Eve.
- Jewel-Osco: Stores open until 6pm Christmas Eve.
- Kroger: Hours vary but stores will close early in the Kroger Co. family of stores on Christmas Eve.
- Lidl: Close at 7pm.
- Meijer: Open until 7pm Christmas Eve.
- Natural Grocers: Stores close at 6:06pm Christmas Eve.
- Publix: Stores close early at 7pm.
- Ralphs: All stores close at 10pm. Most stores closed on Christmas Day.
- Safeway: Hours vary; many close early and some locations open on Christmas Day.
- Sam's Club: Close at 6pm.
- Save A Lot: Varies.
- Smart & Final: Many stores close at 7pm.
- Sprouts Farmer Market: 7am to 7pm.
- Stop & Shop: Close at 6pm.
- Target: 7am to 8pm.
- Trader Joe's: All locations close at 5pm.
- Vons: Varies, many locations open until 10pm Christmas Eve. Locations open on Christmas Day have reduced hours.
- Walmart: 6am to 6pm.
- Weis Markets: 7am to 5pm.
- Wegmans: Close at 6pm.
- Whole Foods Market: Hours vary, but most stores open 7am to 7pm.
- Winn-Dixie: Open until 9pm.
Walgreens, CVS and Rite Aid Christmas hours
Christmas Eve pharmacy hours vary and many pharmacies are closed on Christmas.
CVS: Hours vary, many locations will be open regular hours on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Some stores may be closed or have reduced hours for the holiday. Most pharmacies will be closed Wednesday.
Rite Aid: Hours vary on Tuesday, but stores are closed on Christmas Day.
Walgreens: Most stores open regular hours for Christmas Eve but pharmacy hours vary.
- All 24-hour stores will be open 24 hours on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
- Most Walgreens stores will be open 9am to 6pm on Christmas Day, the company said on its website.
