Tom Cotton torpedoes Amaryllis Fox Kennedy off Trump's CIA list

Incoming Senate GOP No. 3 Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) is already flexing in his new perch.

Why it matters: Cotton was the Senate power player behind Trump dropping Amaryllis Fox Kennedy from his list of CIA deputy director candidates, the Washington Post first reported and Axios has confirmed.

Cotton reached out to Trump's incoming chief of staff Susie Wiles to warn against Fox Kennedy as a pick for the CIA gig.
Axios scooped last week that Trump was considering Fox Kennedy, the daughter-in-law and former campaign manager to RFK Jr.
