How to fix iPhone's Photos after Apple's latest iOS update

Driving the news: Apple's iOS 18.2 update, which launched on December 11, introduces a new batch of AI features and addresses some complaints to the Photos app, such as the need to constantly zoom in and out on images and videos with borders that require tapping to play in full screen.

• The update brings back the ability to scrub videos frame-by-frame.
• There's a new ability to turn off looping videos. You can find this option by going to Settings > Photos.
• The Albums can be sorted alphabetically, by date created or manually.
• The Favorites album is now in the Utilities collection and in Pinned Collections.

How it works: To fix the Photos app on your iPhone, follow the instructions below.

• Check if you have an option to update to iOS 18.2 by going to Settings > General > Software Update.
• Scroll to the bottom of the Photos app and click on Customize & Reorder.
• Uncheck all the options except Media Types, Albums and Utilities, or other options to make the Photos app easier to navigate.
