Here's what's new on Hulu, Max, Netflix, Disney+, Peacock, Paramount+ and Prime Video.
What we're watching: A documentary about the highs and lows of child stardom, a limited series about one of Batman's greatest adversaries and a new chapter in the "Monster" anthology universe.
"Child Star" available now on Hulu
Zoom in: Using her own story as the backdrop, Demi Lovato directs this documentary about the risks and evolution of child stardom with personal accounts from JoJo Siwa, Drew Barrymore, Kenan Thompson, Raven-Symoné, Alyson Stoner and Christina Ricci.
My thought bubble: 2024 continues to call out the not-so-pretty side of child stardom.
- Months ago, we saw similar storylines from "Quiet on Set."
What we're watching: Discussions about fair compensation for child content creators and influencers — something that is addressed in this film.
"The Penguin" available at 9pm on Max
State of play: Colin Farrell reprises his role as crime boss Oswald Cobblepot in this eight-episode limited series from "The Batman" director Matt Reeves.
The fine print: After tonight's premiere, new episodes will be released Sunday nights at 9.
"Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story" available now on Netflix
The intrigue: Following the viewership success of "Dahmer" from Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, this true crime anthology series tells the story of the Menendez brothers, who were convicted for the murder of their parents in 1996.
