Exclusive: Disney giving "Encanto" gowns to children's hospitals

Zoom in: Starlight's hospital gowns and pants seek to bring happiness to children who are undergoing procedures and treatments in medical facilities, the foundation says.

• The hospital gowns are designed to provide better privacy and coverage for kids.
• They also include snaps on the sleeves, allowing easier access for hospital staff during medical procedures.

The foundation will also offer Disney-themed care packages and Disney toys, books, and games.

• We hope these special gowns will deliver joy, as well as bring kids together to explore new cultures or connect with a little piece of home," Lisa Haines, SVP of Corporate Social Responsibility at Disney, said.

Background: Set in rural Colombia, "Encanto" follows the story of the Madrigal family through the eyes of Mirabel, who doesn't have a special magical gift like other family members.

• Mirabel and her grandmother must come to terms with family trauma and confront a curse that could ruin the family.
