Here's what's new on Prime Video, Hulu, Netflix, Paramount+, Disney + and Max.
What we're watching: A docuseries that dives into the business of college sports, a comedy from "Insecure" star Natasha Rothwell, and a new season of "The Circle."
"The Money Game" available now on Prime Video
State of play: This six-part docuseries, co-produced by Axios Entertainment, Campfire Studios and Shaquille O'Neal, examines the impact of the NCAA's policy on name, image and likeness (NIL) rights at LSU during the 2023-2024 athletic season.
- Olivia Dunne, Angel Reese, Flau'jae Johnson and Jayden Daniels are among the student-athletes in the series.
What they're saying: "I hope [viewers] get to see what it's like being a student-athlete from our perspective and how much everyone loves each other and the culture at LSU," Dunne told Axios.
Our thought bubble: "The Money Game" feels like viewers get to pull back the curtain on an LSU hype video, Axios' Chelsea Brasted writes.
- The series is at its best when it makes space for the complicated whirlwind that has become these athletes' lives.
"How to Die Alone" available Friday on Hulu
The intrigue: Natasha Rothwell ("Insecure") created and stars in this new comedy series about a timid JFK airport employee who's inspired to live carefree after facing a near-death experience.
