CrowdStrike faces class action lawsuit over travel disruptions

• "The consequences of CrowdStrike's flawed update were catastrophic," the suit states. They also said the situation "created a public nuisance."
• The delays and cancellations caused by the outage led the plaintiffs to incur additional expenses for lodging, meals and making other travel arrangements, per the lawsuit.
• Two plaintiffs also said they experienced health issues as a result of the outage. One plaintiff had back and neck pain from sleeping on the floor and benches during the flight delays, and another experienced a migraine due to a disrupted sleep schedule, the lawsuit says.
• They're seeking compensatory and punitive damages.

What they're saying: "We believe this case lacks merit and we will vigorously defend the company," a CrowdStrike spokesperson told Axios in an emailed statement.

Zoom out: CrowdStrike is also facing a public litigation threat from Delta, whose CEO said the crash cost them $500 million.

• CrowdStrike fired back at Delta saying it's "highly disappointed by Delta's suggestion that CrowdStrike acted inappropriately and strongly rejects any allegation that it was grossly negligent or committed willful misconduct," according to CNN.
• Meanwhile, the company is being sued by investors who claim CrowdStrike provided false claims after its update led to the outage, which plummeted its stock price.
