Hulk Hogan at the RNC: "Trump is the toughest of them all"

Hulk Hogan took the stage at the Republican National Convention Thursday night to endorse former President Donald Trump with the same charisma that made him the most recognizable wrestler in the world.

The big picture: "Hulkamania" swept the RNC as the former wrestler, whose real name is Terry Bollea, took the stage in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Between the lines: Hogan's privacy lawsuit against Gawker Media for defamation, loss of privacy and emotional pain over the publication of a sex tape, which resulted in a $140 million verdict in 2016, ultimately proved to have been funded by venture investor Peter Thiel.

Years later, Thiel would back the Senate race of J.D. Vance, who went on last night to accept the nomination to be Trump's running mate.

What they're saying: "I've been in the ring with some of the biggest, some of the baddest dudes on the planet," Hogan said.

"I know tough guys, but let me tell you something, brother, Donald Trump is the toughest of them all."
