Here's what's new on Apple TV+, Hulu, Netflix, Max, Prime Video, Peacock and Paramount+.

What we're watching: A new private detective series, another reality TV offering starring Lisa Vanderpump and a documentary explaining the birth of online communities like QAnon.

"Sugar" — Available Friday on Apple TV+

State of play: Colin Farrell, Kirby and Amy Ryan star in this series about a private detective searching for the daughter of a Hollywood producer.

Driving the news: Farrell is also set to appear in DC's series "The Penguin," coming to Max this fall.

"Vanderpump Villa" — Available now on Hulu

The vibe: Watch a hand-picked group of chefs, mixologists and waitstaff work and live together at an exclusive French estate in this new reality series.

Behind the scenes: Lisa Vanderpump's grip on reality television remains tight. The eleventh season of "Vanderpump Rules" is currently airing and the premiere of its spinoff, "The Valley," last month was Bravo's most watched in a decade.

"The Antisocial Network: Memes to Mayhem" — Available Friday on Netflix

The intrigue: This new documentary discusses how 4chan, an online community for lonely teens, became the breeding ground for QAnon and the Jan. 6 insurrection.

"Ripley" on Netflix

  • Andrew Scott, Dakota Fanning and John Malkovich star in this limited series based on Patricia Highsmith's acclaimed Tom Ripley novels. Available now.

"Loot" season 2 on Apple TV+

  • Maya Rudolph returns as Molly Wells, now navigating life as head of the philanthropic organization she started with money collected after her divorce from a tech billionaire (played by Adam Scott). Available now.

"Scoop" on Netflix

  • This new film is based on the real events surrounding Prince Andrew's infamous BBC "Newsnight" appearance.
  • Flashback: During the 2019 telecast, two million people watched the British monarch stumble while being questioned about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and Virginia Roberts (now Giuffre), who was underage at the time. Available Friday.

"Girls State" on Apple TV+

  • From the makers of the Emmy-winning "Boys State," this documentary follows 500 teenage girls from Missouri participating in a weeklong mock government building exercise. Available Friday.

"Star Trek: Discovery" season 5 on Paramount+

  • The final season of this series follows the crew of the U.S.S. Discovery as they uncover a mysterious ancient power that has deliberately been hidden for centuries. Available now.

"Files of the Unexplained" on Netflix

  • See real people recount mysterious occurrences from UFOs to drownings and unexplained disappearances in this new eight-episode docuseries. Available now.

"Bray Wyatt: Becoming Immortal" on Peacock

  • Mark William Calaway ("The Undertaker") narrates this documentary about the life and career of the late WWE star Windham Rotunda, aka Bray Wyatt. Available now.

"Hop" on Max

  • This new comedic children's show from "Arthur" creator Marc Brown follows a group of friends led by Hop (a frog) whose adventures teach kids to celebrate everyone's differences. Available now.

"Dinosaur" on Hulu

  • This new comedy series follows an autistic woman in her 30s as she's forced to deal with a new way of life when her sister (who's also her best friend) suddenly gets engaged. Available Friday.

"Alex Edelman: Just for Us" on Max

  • Edelman recalls his experiences of covertly attending a meeting of white nationalists in Queens after receiving antisemitic threats online in this new comedy special. Available Saturday.

"How To Date Billy Walsh" on Prime Video

  • A teenager who's in love with his childhood best friend struggles to watch her crush over a new student at school in this romantic comedy. Available Friday.

"Demetri Martin: Demetri Deconstructed" on Netflix

  • After a six-year hiatus, Martin returns with the first of two new stand-up specials for Netflix. Available now.
