Target lifts mask mandate for employees and shoppers

The new policy went into effect on Monday.

The big picture: Other measures intended to stop the spread of COVID-19 will stay in place, Target said, like frequent disinfection and cleaning, plexiglass partitions in stores, and reminding shoppers of social distancing guidelines.

• Target will continue to reserve time on Tuesdays for vulnerable or at-risk shoppers — such as pregnant women and the elderly — to do their shopping before stores open to the general public.
