More than 250,000 people took to the streets Saturday to protest COP26, demanding solutions to climate change, CNN reports.
Why it matters: Protests were held worldwide as more than 100 world leaders meet to set new emissions reduction goals, per the New York Times.
- On Friday, Climate activist Greta Thunberg said COP26 "has turned into a PR event" during a climate rally during which she accused world leaders of "greenwashing."
