What they're saying: "If you look at what’s happening at the southern border, it is a total disaster," DeSantis said Tuesday, echoing remarks by fellow Republican Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas, when he issued an executive order to restrict the movement of undocumented migrants.
- "This executive order makes it clear that Florida resources will not be used to prop up the failed open border agenda enacted by this administration," DeSantis said in a statement.
- The Biden administration did not immediately respond to Axios' request for comment.
