The Las Vegas Raiders will require people attending home games at Allegiant Stadium to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or receive a dose of the vaccine at the door, the team announced Tuesday.

Where it stands: The Raiders are the second NFL team to require proof of vaccination for attendees, after the New Orleans Saints announced last week that fans must show proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test from the past three days to attend games.

The big picture: Attendees who can prove their vaccination status via an approved mobile app can attend Raiders games maskless, per the press release.

  • The Raiders are the first team to allow vaccinated fans to go maskless, the press release noted. Fans who choose to get inoculated at the stadium will still need to be masked during games.

What to watch: The policy will go into effect for the first regular-season home game on Sept. 13.
