New Zealand police said Thursday they had charged the Australian man accused of being the Christchurch mosque attacks terrorist with 50 counts of murder.
Details: Brenton Harrison Tarrant, 28, initially faced a single murder charge following the March 15 attacks. Police said in a statement they had also filed 39 attempted murder charges. "Other charges are still under consideration," they said. Tarrant is due to appear in New Zealand's High Court in Christchurch on Friday.
