After two of the Boeing 737 MAX 8 jets crashed within 6 months, at least 40 countries
have suspended operation of the fuel-efficient aircraft in the span of 2 days, AP reports.
Driving the news: Trump said Wednesday the FAA will issue an emergency order temporarily banning Boeing 737 MAX series aircraft from flying in the U.S., following a similar declaration by Canada.
The state of play: There are 59 operators of the MAX series worldwide, per the FAA.
