Large hospital systems in Texas end merger talks

Baylor Scott & White Health and Memorial Hermann Health System have called off their proposed merger, roughly 4 months after the giant not-for-profit hospital systems in Texas announced their intent to combine.

The big picture: So much for that. The two organizations did not immediately respond to questions about why they called off their merger. But don't expect hospital mergers to slow down in the near term.
