With recounts ongoing in Florida's Senate and gubernatorial races, President Trump tweeted Monday morning — again, without evidence — that new ballots are showing up "out of nowhere" and that "many ballots are missing or forged."
"The Florida Election should be called in favor of Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis in that large numbers of new ballots showed up out of nowhere, and many ballots are missing or forged. An honest vote count is no longer possible-ballots massively infected. Must go with Election Night!"
The big picture: As the Washington Post's Aaron Blake notes, Florida accepts overseas and military ballots through Nov. 16 as long as they are postmarked by Nov. 6. Sticking to ballots received only by Tuesday, as Trump is insisting, would disenfranchise military service-members and Americans abroad.
