Tribune Publishing gets acquisition bids from McClatchy, Donerail

Investment firm Donerail Group and newspaper publishers McClatchy Co. and AIM Media submitted bids Thursday for Tribune Publishing Co., according to Bloomberg.

The big picture: In August, Donerail was in talks with then-Tronc, which owns several publications including the New York Daily News, Baltimore Sun and Hartford Courant, about a potential acquisition.
