Trump calls out media at rally: Stop "endless hostility"

President Donald Trump continued his criticism of Democrats and the news media at a campaign rally in Wisconsin Wednesday night, as law enforcement officials across the country grapple with a slew of potentially explosive devices sent to a number of prominent Democratic Party figures as well as CNN.

"The media also has a responsibility to set a civil tone and to stop the endless hostility and constant negative and oftentimes false attacks and stories. Have to do it. They’ve got to stop. Bring people together."

The details: In his speech to party supporters, Trump denounced the attempted attacks and vowed to bring those responsible to justice. But the president didn’t name any of the intended recipients: former President Barack Obama, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) and Former Attorney General Eric Holder.

CNN’s New York headquarters also received a suspicious package on Wednesday, addressed to former CIA Director John Brennan. The packages resembled an explosive device sent earlier this week to billionaire George Soros, a prominent Democratic donor.

Ahead of the rally, audience members and Trump supporters chanted "lock her up," an attack aimed at Hillary Clinton, while senate candidate Leah Vukmir was speaking.
