This Kansas Democrat just raised a ton of money

Democrat Sharice Davids has raised over $2.7 million since the end of June, McClatchy reports, which is $1.6 million more than Rep. Kevin Yoder, the Republican incumbent in Kansas' 3rd congressional district.

Why it matters: Things aren't looking great for the GOP in a state where Republicans have won every congressional election by double-digits since 2010. The National Republican Congressional Committee pulled its $1 million ad buy for Yoder last weekend — and as Politico's Steven Shepard noted: "This is even more eye-popping when you consider that Davids didn't become the Democratic nominee until more than a third of the way through the 3rd quarter."
