4 people submit sworn affidavits supporting Kavanaugh accuser

Lawyers for Christine Blasey Ford, the first woman to accuse Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault, have submitted sworn affidavits from four witnesses who claim Ford told them of the allegations prior to them coming out publicly.

The big picture: The witnesses include Ford's husband and three friends who have known Ford for at least five years. All four say Ford told them that she had been sexually assaulted as a teenager by someone who is now a federal judge. Two of the four say Ford directly named Brett Kavanaugh as the perpetrator.
