President Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani was paid by Freeh Group International Solutions, a global consulting firm, to write a letter to the president of Romania in which he criticized the government's anti-corruption agency for its "excesses," reports Politico.
The details: Giuliani, who has continued to represent foreign clients while working for the president, wrote that Romania's National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) had gone too far in its operations by violating certain rights under the pretext of law enforcement. According to Politico, Giuliani's letter is at odds with the position of the State Department, which has been supportive of Romania's efforts to root out corruption.
