Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called for a boycott of U.S. electronics in retaliation for the "economic war" he believes Washington has launched with sanctions against its NATO ally, reports Reuters.
The big picture: The Turkish lira stabilized Tuesday following a record nosedive against the dollar, gaining back 6% after a pledge by the central bank to provide liquidity, per CNBC. The lira has dropped 40% against the dollar this year and 28% in August alone.
