Rep. Collins says he will remain on the ballot despite indictment

Speaking to reporters for the first time since being indicted on securities fraud charges, Rep. Chris Collins (R-NY) said he would remain on the ballot for reelection this fall and called the insider trading charges levied against him "meritless."

The details: Collins turned himself in to authorities Wednesday morning on insider trading charges related to the Australian biotech company Innate Immunotherapeutics. Speaker Paul Ryan said Collins has been removed from the House Energy and Commerce Committee until the matter is settled.
