Anti-abortion group targets 6 red-state Dems on Supreme Court nominee

The Susan B. Anthony List, an anti-abortion group, is releasing six ads today pressuring red-state Democratic senators to "protect life" by voting to confirm Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

Why it matters: The heightened attention on these Democratic senators makes them even more vulnerable ahead of the midterm election.

The details: This is part of the group's $3 million campaign to help confirm Judge Kavanaugh, which started 12 hours after he was announced. The ads target Sens. Heidi Heitkamp, Joe Donnelly, Doug Jones, Joe Manchin, Bill Nelson and Claire McCaskill.

Each digital ad is 15 seconds and will be shared through a peer-to-peer texting campaign.
SBA List held press conferences earlier this week outside of Sens. Heitkamp, Donnelly and Manchin's offices in their home states. They're planning more in-state press conferences throughout the summer.
