Spurs assistant coach first woman to interview for NBA head coaching job
After four seasons working under San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich, assistant coach Becky Hammon has landed an interview with the Milwaukee Bucks for the head coaching spot, making her the first woman "to interview for a top NBA bench job," according to the Washington Post.
The details: Hammon has already broken one glass ceiling, becoming the first female full-time assistant coach on a major U.S. pro-sports team in 2014. Per the Post, Popovich has given his full support to Hammon, saying "whatever she wants to do in her future, she's a natural. She's got it all."
