Report: Justice Dept. watchdog opens investigation into Comey memos

The Justice Department's inspector general is opening an investigation into whether former FBI Director James Comey illegally leaked classified information when giving the now infamous Comey memos to a personal friend, the WSJ reports.
The details: Of the four memos Comey leaked, two are in question. According to the WSJ, Comey redacted elements of one memo that he knew to be classified, and determined at the time that the other memo has no classified information. However, once he was fired from the FBI, agency officials upgraded ithe document to “confidential.”
