Shari Redstone's group rebukes reporting they want Moonves out

Shari Redstone's group, National Amusements — the holding company for CBS and Viacom — has released a statement saying it “has tremendous respect for Les Moonves and it has always been our intention that he run a combined company.”

Why it matters: Reporting published earlier Wednesday suggested that Redstone contemplating firing CBS chief Leslie Moonves, should merger talks between the two networks fail.
