12-year-old suspect in custody after Los Angeles school shooting

Two 15-year-old students, a male and a female, were shot inside a classroom at Salvador Castro Middle School in Westlake, Los Angeles Thursday morning, the Washington Post reports. A 12-year-old female suspect has been taken into custody, and officers have not yet uncovered a motive.

The latest: The injured male student is in critical condition after being shot in the head and the female student is in fair condition after being shot in the wrist. Three other students were injured in the encounter, but did not suffer gunshot wounds.
