Add one more issue to the list of problems facing Uber and its next chief executive. The Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday that the Justice Department has launched a preliminary investigation into whether the ride-hailing service violated federal laws related to bribery of foreign officials.
The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act bans American companies from bribing or attempting to bribe officials outside the U.S.
Uber says it is cooperating with the investigation.
