The UN's latest World Happiness Report, released Monday, reveals that the world's unhappiest countries are all located in the Middle East and Africa. The UN data is gathered by asking people in more than 150 countries to rate their lives on a scale of 0-10, with zero being the worst possible life, and 10 being the best:

The 10 most unhappy countries: Burundi, Tanzania, Syria, Rwanda, Togo, Guinea, Liberia, South Sudan, Yemen, and Haiti.

The 10 happiest countries: Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Switzerland, Finland, Netherlands, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and Sweden.
