Report: Jared and Ivanka's emails moved to Trump Org server

Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump transferred their personal email accounts to a server handled by The Trump Organization just days after news broke that Kushner had used a personal email account for White House business, according to USA Today. A spokesperson for Kushner and Trump denied the report, saying that their personal email accounts had never passed through a Trump Organization server.

Why it matters: The transfer of Kushner's emails to Trump servers would mean yet another entanglement of Trump's family business with his governance. Legal experts told USA Today that the arrangement could mean other employees at the Trump Organization might have access to Kushner's White House emails.

The full statement from a spokesperson for Kushner and Trump:

"Mr. Kushner's and Ms. Trump's personal family email account does not reside and never has resided in, nor passed through, the Trump Organization email server. As an additional security measure, this account used a filtering service (to block viruses and malware) as the Trump Organization and lots of other entities and people use. As previously stated, any work-related emails sent to or received from their personal family email account were captured and saved in the White House system for preservation purposes."
