Maxim released a list of the 9 most powerful leading women in business today. According to the publication, there will be an unprecedented number of women leading Fortune 500 companies in 2017. Previously, women consistently made up just 4.8% of CEO positions at these companies, per Fortune. In 2014, there were 24 women leading Fortune 500 companies, which was the record until this year.
