Former White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus and current White House Counsel Don McGahn have both hired white collar lawyer William Bruck of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, Law360 reports. Last week, the Washington Post reported that Special Counsel Robert Mueller hopes to interview six current and former White House officials, including Priebus and McGahn.

Why it matters: Priebus and McGahn are the latest Trump associates to lawyer up for Mueller's investigation. Jared Kushner, Donald Trump Jr., Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Communications Director Hope Hicks, Vice President Mike Pence, and the president himself have also hired lawyers.

Per Law360...

  • Priebus will likely be asked if he has any knowledge of Trump Jr.'s now-infamous Trump Tower meeting with a Russian lawyer during the campaign.
  • McGahn will likely be asked what he knows about why the president fired then-FBI Director James Comey.
