Pompeo: WikiLeaks is "a non-state hostile intelligence service"

At an event at the Center for Strategic & International Studies this afternoon, CIA Director Mike Pompeo went all in on Julian Assange and WikiLeaks during his prepared remarks, branding it "a non-state hostile intelligence service":

  • "WikiLeaks walks like a hostile intelligence service and talks like a hostile intelligence service."
  • "[Assange] knows nothing of America and our ideals."
  • "Their currency is clickbait, their moral compass non-existent."
  • "Assange is a narcissist who creates nothing of value…he's a fraud, a coward hiding behind a screen."
