New poll: Americans oppose House health care bill 2-1

Here's what the public thinks of the Affordable Care Act repeal and replacement bill, according to a new NBC News-Wall Street Journal poll:

  • Good idea: 23 percent
  • Bad idea: 48 percent
  • No opinion: 28 percent

The bottom line: That's only marginally better than the margin in a Quinippiac poll last week (21 percent approve, 56 percent disapprove), and it confirms how deeply unpopular the House vote was. With 28 percent undecided, there are still plenty of people for Republicans to win over — but they're off to a terrible start.
