Megyn Kelly's new NBC morning show debuts Sept. 25
Megyn Kelly's new NBC morning show will premiere at 9am on September 25 in front of a live studio audience, per Politico's Hadas Gold and confirmed by NBC News.
The network is hoping the live audience will add a fresh twist to Kelly's program, differentiating it from the rest the Today show, which will open and close Kelly's segment. The debut is also set to run the same week NBC kicks off its primetime schedule, "which means it will benefit from maximum promotion time," Gold notes.
Check in: Kelly's other NBC show, Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly, opened with a Vladimir Putin interview, but Variety's Chief Critic Maureen Ryan described it as "a long way from must-see TV." Meanwhile, the show's ratings have continued to sink, losing viewers in the same timeslot to reruns of "60 Minutes" and "America's Funniest Home Videos."
