Publisher Simon & Schuster told AP Thursday that Clinton lets her guard down when describing her "intense personal experience" of becoming the first woman presidential nominee for a major party — especially during an election "marked by rage, sexism, exhilarating highs and infuriating lows, stranger-than-fiction twists, Russian interference, and an opponent who broke all the rules."
Privately, Clinton's longtime allies have also promised the book will be a "bombshell" and have said the memoir is her way of getting "the whole story out there from her own perspective."
