Deal reached to fund government through September

Sunday night, bipartisan negotiators reached a deal to fund the government through the fiscal year. The bill, which must pass through Congress, includes:

• $15 billion for the military, per ABC
• $2 billion increase for NIH
• $1.5 billion for border security, per Washington Post
• $295 million for Medicaid in Puerto Rico, per NBC
• $68 million to reimburse law enforcement in New York and Florida to protect President Trump, per ABC

It does not include:

• Funding for the border wall
• Any provision to block funding for Planned Parenthood or sanctuary cities
