Conservative group to Midwest Dems: vote with us on taxes

Alexi McCammond

American Action Network, a center-right issue advocacy organization focused on tax reform, is launching a six-figure ad campaign urging 7 Democratic lawmakers to choose the GOP tax cuts plan instead of voting with Minority House Leader Nancy Pelosi.

Why it matters: This ad campaign targets Democratic members to vote for tax reform, instead of challenging their voting record on tax cuts. American Action Network's last major tax ad campaign targeted 42 Republicans.

The 7 Democratic House members include: Dave Loebsack (IA), Cheri Bustos (IL), Tim Walz, Collin Peterson and Rick Nolan of Minnesota, Matt Cartwright (PA), and Ron Kind (WI).

This ad builds on the group's $20 million Middle Class Growth Initiative campaign, spread across more than 50 congressional districts nationwide via advertising on television, radio, direct mail, and mobile billboards. Watch the ad.
